Her Story: ThirdLove’s Own Heidi, Ra’el, Kate, and Clare

Her Story: ThirdLove’s Own Heidi, Ra’el, Kate, and Clare

There’s more to all of us than meets the eye.

To Each, Her Own is a celebration of who women actually are — not who they're told to be. Though we decided to use both models and real women in this campaign, they're all women who inspire us with their strength and vulnerability. Our series, Her Story, is a chance to get to know more about them, as well as ThirdLove’s own female leadership.

Meet four of our own ahead.

Kate Kittredge, 32B½, Head of Brand Strategy

TL: How would you describe yourself in three words?

KK: “Creative. Intuitive. Loving.”

TL: What’s something most people might not assume about you at first glance?

KK: “I have a highly sensitive sense of smell. Some might call it a ‘super nose.’ I’m very scent driven and I have very intense scent memories — the smell of a fresh tomato sauce simmering on the stove instantly brings me back to my childhood, walking into my grandmother’s home. It’s magic.”

TL: What quality do you love most about yourself?

KK: “I love that I am deeply intuitive. There are countless instances in my life when I have had premonitions about things that are about to happen it’s become almost an unsurprising occurrence. The truth is, the more present I am with myself and my surroundings, the more intuitive I am. My intuition has led me to so many amazing things in my life — I am very grateful for this gift.”

TL: When do you feel most beautiful and/or confident?

KK: “At the moment, I feel most beautiful and confident dropping my two little girls off at preschool every morning. I love walking them to each of their classrooms, spending a few precious moments together and giving them a confident and loving kiss before I leave to start my day at the office. There is something so special about that time together — I feel confident and beautiful as both a mother and a professional in that moment.”

TL: When and where are you happiest?

KK: “I am the happiest in or near the ocean with my family, especially if my two little girls are running around in and out of the water. We’re so present together when we’re by the water, even if it’s just for a walk after work. The ocean is our family’s healing place.”

TL: If you could give your younger self advice, what would you tell her?

KK: “To trust in the process and not to rush — everything happens in its own time and at just the right time.”

TL: What's the top song on your playlist right now?

KK: “Novo Amor - Anchor.”

TL: What does To Each, Her Own mean to you?

KK: “The message of To Each, Her Own is about truly being yourself — about finding the beauty in all of your imperfections and uniqueness and it’s about embracing yourself fully. It’s not about following your need to be accepted by others. By accepting yourself, you will find your true beauty, your true inner strength.”

TL: What is your motto?

KK: “Life is available only in the present moment. (Put down your phone.)”
