Meet Katie Sturino, the blogger behind The 12ish Style, founder of Megababe beauty, and momager to celebrity pups @toastmeetsworld and @muppetsrevenge. To say that she’s busy would be an absolute understatement. Read on to find out when Katie feels most confident, why she doesn’t believe in balance, and more!
What inspired you to do what you’re doing now?
I wanted to be in a position to help other women find their confidence, something that has been immensely helpful for me.
When do you feel most confident in your skin?
Honestly, my favorite outfit is walking around my apartment in a bra, underwear, and sneakers, and I don’t know why. I am most confident in my skin when I am doing something I love.
Did you have any insecurities growing up?
Yes! I was too tall! I have always been tall. I was 5’9″ by the time I was in second grade and I am now 5’11”. I got over it because I ended up liking being tall but it wasn’t cool to be taller than all the boys at the seventh-grade dance.
Who/what has shaped you to be the person you are today?
I don’t think it is just one person or one thing. I think it was my choice to always gravitate towards positive people and towards things I am passionate about.
What are your proudest accomplishments?
What impact do you want to leave on the world?
I just want to help people feel better about themselves.
What’s next for you?
I am a serial entrepreneur and I am always coming up with new ideas, so we will see! For now, I have put everything I have into Megababe.
How do you stay balanced?
I do not practice balance, I don’t have balance, and I don’t understand when people do. I just try to do the small things for myself, like meditation, in the morning or drinking celery juice in the morning because it is a nice thing to do for myself.
What’s your favorite ThirdLove bra and why?
The Perfect Coverage Bra because I love the wide straps. I have never felt uncomfortable in it once and it gives you really good shape.
Tell us your ThirdLove Story.
The ThirdLove bra is always visible in my #MakeMySize posts and I am never uncomfortable showing it because it isn’t too scandalous. The first time I heard of the company I felt like I had heard the pitch before where people say they made the perfect bra, but then I go to try it on and I bubble out of the top. With ThirdLove bras, there was no bubbling out of the top and for me, that was the moment.
