Finding Your Band Size
Let's walk through how to figure out your bra size using our bra measurement calculator. The first step in determining your bra size is to measure your band size. This is the measurement around your rib cage, just beneath your bust. To get an accurate measurement, wrap a measuring tape around your rib cage. Ensure the tape is snug, parallel to the ground, and flat against your skin. Check the number you receive in the measurement chart to determine your band size.
Measuring Your Bust
Next, measure around the fullest part of your bust; this is often above your nipples. Again, ensure that the tape is comfortably snug. This measurement is crucial for our bra measurement chart, which helps you assess the proportional difference between your bust and band size.
Determining Your Bra Cup Size
Finally, subtract your band size from your bust measurement to determine your cup size. Each inch of difference corresponds to a cup size, as our bra cup size calculator indicates. For example, a 1-inch difference means an A-cup, while a 2-inch difference corresponds to a B-cup, and so on. Since ThirdLove offers half-cup sizes, you do not need to round off if your measurement difference has a half. For instance, if the difference between your bust size and band size is 3½ inches, your cup size will be C½.
Using the bra size calculator, you can easily figure out your cup size and match it to your band size.
